Rooney is closer to moving to MLS02/06/2018 10:53
Wayne Rooney’s prodigious English Premier League career seems to be at an end. Former England captain is in advanced talks to join DC United.
Manchester United and the English National Team all-time leading goalscorer looks set to follow the trend with a transfer to MLS.
Sky Sports have reported that Rooney has “agreed to a deal in principle” to leave Everton and join DC United.
The 32-year-old striker has a year remaining on his contract with Everton. But he is frustrated with his role at his boyhood club. And also the last having a player of Rooney’s marquee should also help the club attract fans to the new stadium. It’s a good transfer for both parties. DC United and MLS get a full Audi Field.
