Spain appoint Luis Enrique as the new manager

The former Barca boss will take over the Spanish national team, a day after Hierro’s resignation. Luis Enrique will manage the team with his own staff, the Spanish FA announced.

“The decision has been unanimous”, said the Spanish FA president Rubiales.

Enrique played most of his career with Barcelona and Real Madrid. He also made 62 appearances for the Spanish national team, scoring 12 goals in the process.

This is Enrique’s first job since leaving Barcelona in the summer of 2017.
