Germany stuns world by dropping Leroy Sane from World Cup squad

Germany made a stunning decision by dropping Premier league winner Sane from their World Cup roster. Meanwhile, the reigning World champions decided to include Manuel Neuer despite his injury plagued season.

The 22 year old had a superb season for his club, helping them to a domestic double. Sane also scored 14 goals in the process and provided 17 assists for City across the Premier and Champions league.

Despite of his great season, the winger will not participate in the World Cup in Russia.

Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer surprisingly, got the nod considering he had an injury struggling season for his club. The goalkeeper made just 3 appearances for Bayern in the Bundesliga this season.

The World champions start their World Cup campaign on June 17 against Mexico, before facing Sweden and South Korea in group F.
